Course content
The birth and the meaning of the Philosophy-science in Ancient Greece and the origin of geometry (Husserl and Heidegger). The reduction of the meaning of Philosophy-science into Science-technology in the Modern period (Husserl and Heidegger). The Mathematization of Nature (Husserl and Heidegger). Philosophical and historical outline of the development of Quantum theory

Learning activities and teaching methods
Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)

Learning outcomes
The philosophy and methodology of science attempt to interpret, from various points of view, the following issues: The problematic relationship between science and the natural attitude The essence of scientific scholarship The presuppositions on which science has emerged How science has developed and transformed over time How scientific research and practice proceed and advance What human beings can and cannot expect from science
Students who gain knowledge about questions concerning the essence of science from ancient Greece to the 20th century will become deeply acquainted with the fundamental ideas and scientific paradigms that shape our way of life and everyday thinking.
