Course content
Thematical domains: gender and number of the noun; category of determination ? principles of use; short forms of the personal pronouns, homonymy of the possesional nouns ? differences in the sense and their use; structural schemas of the duplication of the nouns and his manifestation in the rule; demonstration of the sense of the main verbal tenses and modes ? formation and use, structure of the word order, position of the clitics in some of the verbal tense.

Learning outcomes
Further practice and revision of all important vocabulary, grammar and skills (especially listening and speaking); practice using of the Bulgarian language in variety of situations and in the communicative situation in high school discourse; more information about structure of the contemporary Bulgarian standard language. This language course will be concretely concentrated on grammatical phenomenon, that are more difficult for foreigners and the knowledge of which will facilitate much more the comprehension and communication in Bulgarian of the students. The course will be focused then on the most common linguistic process of use of the Bulgarian language which will be exercised in the study of specific, thematically specialized texts, the oral exercises and interactive plays.
Students will intensify their foreknowledges and gain relatively compact notion of the structure of contemporary literary Bulgarian language and its common usage and special discourse.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

Regular attendance, active work in seminar, presenting of home preparation, passing three short tests. To the exam - each student will prepare 50 pages of some original Bulgarian text to contentual and language analysis. The second part of the exam is an analysis of one page of an unknown text.
