Course content
Slovenian language among Slavonic languages. Contemporary form of the language, its dialectal differences. Development of reflection of status of the language, most important linguists and grammmars. Lexical characteristics and morfological categories. Phonetic specifics of the Slovenic language.

Learning outcomes
The goal of the course is to inform students about Slovene as a Slavonic language, about its development, geographical widespread and dialects. The subject will inform them about the main periods of its development and about personalities that influenced its development.
Students will gain information about basic characteristics of Slovene language, its short history and the difference of dialects. They will learn phonetic rules of contemporary language.
