Learning outcomes
|
The course is taught in English and it´s primarily intended for foreign students! The subject will combine lectures with workshop teaching form. The basis of the course will comprise a survey of selected chapters from Czech literature over the last two centuries (lectures by dr. Říha). These will form the background for continual gaining some deeper insights into the discussed genrese, topics, themes and styles, as reflected through the methods of creative writing (workshops by Jiří Studený). More information soon.
Student will get an overview of the fundamental periods of Czech literature history of the last two centuries. Theis literary insight wil be completed with a series of creative writing excercises.

Prerequisites
|
Very good English fluency at the appropriate Erasmus level; authentic interest in literature, creativity and personal development.

Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment
Continuous reading of the texts (in English). Essay dealing wirh chosen topic (in English). Individual writing excercises (in mother tongue).
