Course content
General orientation in source texts and work with them. Relevant vocabulary is developed and broadened within conversational topics connected to the subject. Another task is reinforcing knowledge of grammar.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop professional skills in a source language, especially work with relevant source literature connected with student?s doctoral thesis, to develop necessary skills and knowledge for translating and interpretation of source texts, to present the results of student?s own research, discuss scholarly topics.
Student is able to work with source literature, translate and interpret source texts, general information, work with scholarly texts, handle chosen topics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

Student needs to pass the language exam in B2 level. Exam has two parts: the first consists of examining of comprehensive language knowledge, in translation of a source text in the particular language (minimum extent is 15 standard pages); second part consists of discussion of professional issues.
