Spiritual/moral development - introduction. Developmental theories and models. Moral development and its stages. Religious development and its stages. Spiritual/moral development of men and women. Initiation ceremonies in the world's religions. Spiritual experience. Spiritual/moral development in childhood. Spiritual/moral development in adolescence and early adulthood. Spiritual/moral development in middle age. Spiritual/moral development in old age. Art of dying.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of this course is to look at the problems of the development of a spiritual and moral element of personality in the context of an understanding of contemporary science (mostly developmental psychology) and in relationship to various life-periods and particular life-events.
Student will gain an understanding of spiritual and moral development and will be able to use this knowledge in the reflection of particular experiences and their putting in the context of the whole life having regard to thinking about the question of meaning of life.
