Learning outcomes

Students will achieve following eligibilities: 1. basic demographic analysis of selected group/society 2. basic knowledge of the phenomenon of ageing from different perspective - geographical, gerontological, sociological 3. general knowledge of the specifics of anthropological approach to ageing. 4. acquire presentation skills of ageing in holistic - interdisciplinary perspective
Prerequisites
Students are expected to have general knowledge in the history and theory of anthropology and interest in the topic.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Student portfolio analysis, Self project defence, Presentation

The exam consists of three assignments: 1) active participation in seminars (reading, homework sheets for semestral thesis). Students are allowed of three active absences. Active presence is physical appearence in the seminar + preparation for the seminar (reading, etc.). The assignment is not credited, only must be fullfilled. 2) Seminar thesis - projected as holistic analysis of ageing of selected community/group/society. Student has to choose the case topic on which he/she uses taught methods and approaches. The seminar thesis is credited up to 100 points, minimum for successful compleition is 70 points. 3) Presentation - 5-7 minutes PPT presentation of the thesis at the last lesson. Credited up to 50 points, minimum required is 30 points. Final evaluation: 150-140 p. 1 139-130 p. 1- 129-120 p. 2 119-110 p. 2- 109-100 p. 3 99 and less 4
