Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to present music traditions of the world cultures. Students will be not only able to define the role of music in "traditional" societies but also to analyse the role of music in the present-day society.
Students will gain orientation not only in the role of music in "traditional" societies but they themselves will also analyse the meaning of music in contemporary society.

Credit is conditional upon successful completion of a written test and presentation of a paper on a given topic.
