Course content
Short term attachment in selected organization, elaboration of final report.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students practical knowledge about the functioning of organisations which are relevant to sociology (a potential employer of graduates in the field) in accordance with the focus of the field of study (non-profit organizations working in the field of minority integration, integration of foreigners, protection of human rights, field social work, community development, culture, history, multicultural education, socially sustainable development, etc. , public administration, police, research institutions, advertising agencies, media, companies operating in the field of social marketing, social entrepreneurship and human resource development, and companies applying the concept of social responsibility). Completing the internship allows students to gain experience in solving practical problems or actively participating in field work within a time frame of 40 hours.
Students will test their skills and knowledge in practice, learn about the functioning of a specific organization, become familiar with the problems of a specific corporate culture, and learn to plan tasks within a limited time frame. Verified professional competencies: - Communication in a globalized world (the ability to communicate effectively with people from different cultures, the ability to explain the subtle nuances of everyday life in different cultures and interpret this knowledge to the general public using various means, conflict management and negotiation, mediation) - Preventing prejudice and understanding multicultural perspectives (understanding and respecting the diversity of different cultures and individuals, analyzing the diversity of domestic institutions and their corporate culture, skills in applying key policies and integration processes, negotiating cross-cultural agreements, promoting civic participation) - Ability to see the "big picture" (apply a holistic approach, understand the impact of global changes, including the economy, on local communities, understand the consequences of urbanization and migration, understand the organization's product management with regard to local requirements and needs, the local environment, and the lifestyles of different consumer groups) - Data collection, integration, synthesis, and analysis (use various techniques for collecting data and information, understand and integrate data and information, interpret findings using anthropological theoretical concepts, apply analytical reasoning and critical thinking, understand the specifics and risks of ethnographic research) - Fundraising and drawing on financial resources (skills in writing grant applications or proposals to obtain funding for projects, managing projects and teams, implementing activities to support philanthropy and cross-sector cooperation) - Other (according to the student's own assignment)

Students have to work for 40 hours in a chosen organisation and to present his /her experience in a lesson with other students.
