Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with anthropological approaches to the Roma in a multidisciplinary spectrum. Through specialized texts and audio-visual materials, students will become familiar with the main discourses that the Roma deal with. They will critically analyze and compare these materials. The aim of the course is to gain critical insight into the issue and to develop the ability to discuss the given issues and come up with your own ideas.
Students will be able to understand anthropological approaches to Roma within a broader multidisciplinary context, identify the main discourses present in scholarly texts and audiovisual materials, and critically analyze them. They will acquire the ability to compare different perspectives and interpret their social and political implications.
