Course content
|
Family, importance and situation of the family, family functions and their changes. Theories of the family. Marriage, partner choice, development of the married life, men's and women's expectations. Child's role in the family. Divorce. Home violence, child abuse and neglecting.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of the cource is to introduce to the sociological way of view on family, partnership, parenthood, development of family forms, post modern family etc. to the students.
Students will be able to orientate in sociological theory of family, get overview of the development of the family life.
