Course content

- Pedagogical and social psychology in the context of other educational sciences - basic concepts of pedagogical and social psychology - Society, child, school, - contemporary concepts of the child and childhood, social transformations, socialization, social heterogeneity - Personality - self, ontogeny of the human psyche, cognitive development, emotional and social development - Intelligence -classical conception of intelligence, bands of intelligence, multiple intelligence theory, IQ and EQ requirements in education, - Maslow's theory of needs- formation of selected aspects of personality - Brain and its functions - neurophysiological functions of the brain, learning and remembering processes - The pupil - his needs and school aptitude - Classroom climate, social and relational needs, teacher's personality - Motivation and self-motivation - types and its influence, issues of rewards and punishments - Learning in the school context - definitions, types, styles. Self-regulation, meaningful learning, rote, cooperative - Psychology of effective teaching - Developmental learning disabilities and school practice - pupils with special needs - School classroom II - diagnosis of group relationships, sociometry, problem behaviors in school practice These topics are cross-cutting and flow seamlessly throughout the semester (they are not studied separately).

Learning outcomes
|
Students will acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge, will be able to identify and define basic concepts in the field, describe and flexibly orient themselves in the basic areas of educational and social psychology. They will acquire the skills needed to define and select basic educational psychological methods and acquire the competence to use them. They will actively master the principles and stages of the educational psychological diagnostic process. On the basis of the acquired knowledge they will be able to cooperate with a team of other professionals.
