Learning outcomes
The objective of this course is to clarify the problems of intercultural and multicultural coexistence in the society in particular socio-cultural systems. The possibilities of the livelihood and education for ethnic and language minorities in the majority society (aims, organization, content, methods) in an international context. Education as an important means of coexistence in a multicultural society - education towards tolerance, against racism, xenophobia, and anti-Semitism.
The student will understand the cultural pluralism and relativism, the possibilities of integration of minorities, foreigners and especially asylum seekers in the Czech Republic. He/she will be able to identify xenophobia, racism and will be able to apply the strategy to confront them.
