Course content
The origin and development of the service of records in the Czech and European area, with a focus on the current situation. Old depositories. Civil servants in Central Europe as a socio-professional group in society and its changes over time. The origin and development of the archival service as a part of modern clerical systems. A brief overview of archival service development in the area of the Czech Republic and the necessary Central-European (or other) connections.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to introduce the historical developments in the fields that create the basis of the current record and archival service.
Based on an understanding of these essentials, the student will have a fuller understanding of the current situation in the field, together with principles that are currently in force.

Oral examination, Systematic monitoring

Credit is dependent upon passing the oral examination in accordance with university examination rules.
