There the sources will be presented, and we will try to interpret these with the help of individual methods. Therefore, the lectures may freely overlap with the seminars. Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide an interdisciplinary outline of the most important methods that were and are used in the study of history. Attention will be drawn especially to history as a piece of text. Quantitative methods, methods involving the use of visual sources, etc, will be considered. Also of concern will be the penetration of other disciplines into the historian's thought processes and, therefore, the origin of "borderline fields": historical sociology, the history of art or thought.
Students will be able to use various methods of the historian's work and information about the history of related disciplines.
