The doctoral student will give a public lecture lasting approximately 25-30 minutes, which will consist of two parts - methodological and analytical. In the methodological part, they will attempt to capitalize on the methodological procedures they use in their dissertation and apply them to a topic from recent history. In the second, analytical part, they will present their approach to recent history and the extent to which they are familiar with relevant research trends. This will be followed by a discussion of the lecture between the doctoral student and the members of the examination committee. |
