The primary goal of doctoral studies is to complete the program within the standard period of study (four years) + a maximum of one additional year. Therefore, students must work continuously on their dissertation so that it can be submitted for defense no later than during the fifth year of study. For this reason, courses PTDP1-3 are part of the study program. The objective of PTDP1 is to develop a detailed outline of the dissertation and submit one chapter of the dissertation. Students must submit these texts to their supervisor by the end of June of the first year so that the supervisor has time to review and comment on them and provide feedback. After revisions, this chapter is then included in the annual report, which students submit in PDF format by mid-August (according to the academic year schedule) to the Department of International Relations and Doctoral Studies, and the supervisor uses this report to prepare the student's annual evaluation.
