The primary goal of doctoral studies is to complete the program within the standard period of study (four years) + a maximum of one additional year. Therefore, students must work continuously on their dissertation so that it can be submitted for defense no later than during the fifth year of study. For this reason, courses PTDP1-3 are part of the study program. The aim of PTDP3 is to refine the original dissertation outline from the first and second years and to submit the next (third) chapter of the dissertation. Students must submit these texts to their supervisor by the end of June of the second year so that the supervisor has time to review and comment on them and provide feedback. This additional (third) chapter, after revisions, is then included in the annual report, which the student submits in PDF format by mid-August (according to the academic year schedule) to the Department for International Relations and Doctoral Studies, and the supervisor prepares an annual evaluation of the student based on this report.
