Cílem předmětu je připravit studenta tak, aby byl schopen se orientovat ve svém oboru i v cizojazyčném prostředí, čerpat ze zahraniční literatury a aktivně se účastnit zahraničních odborných stáží. Výuka má rozšířit a prohloubit dosavadní úroveň cizojazyčné přípravy absolventů středních škol (schopnost čtení a studia zahraniční odborné literatury, schopnost přijímat odborné přednášky v cizím jazyce) a zdokonalit komunikativní kompetence posluchačů.
Studenti zvládají anglický jazyk do té míry, aby byli schopni komunikace v mezinárodním kontextu.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria
|
Ústní zkouška
Zkouška je udělena na základě splnění úkolů pro celý semestr a je podmíněna účastí na výuce a plněním zadaných úkolů, semestr zakončen písemným testem a ústním pohovorem, na který si student připraví referát o doplňkové četbě
