Course content
Bleeding, fundamentals of infusion therapy. Shock. Parenteral and enteral nutrition. Intoxication, nosocomial infection. Care of failing organs. Brain death, the transplantation program. Tracheostomy - preparation of aids, assistance and follow-up care about a tracheostomy cannula. Invasive patient monitoring for ARO (arterial catheter, measurement of intracranial pressure, mean arterial pressure, intra-abdominal pressu

Learning outcomes
The aim is to acquire knowledge and skills in the area of intensive care and anaesthesia.
The student knows the specifics of care for the critically ill and is able to provide nursing care within the scope of their competencies in intensive care units, emergency admissions and anesthesiology and resuscitation departments.

Oral examination

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions. Successful completion of an oral examination or written test.
