The aim of the course is to acquaint students with illnesses of the urinary system, male sexual organs, and the retroperitoneum. At the kidney level, this discipline partially permeates nephrology, and it shares sexual organ issues with gynaecology and sexology.
The student knows the anatomy and physiology of the urogenital system, examination methods as well as treatment of patients with urological problems. The student applies highly specialized theoretical and practical knowledge to the nursing process in the care of patients with problems of the urogenital system.
