Course content
|
Anatomy and physiology of the nervous system. Localization of cerebral function disorders. Central and peripheral paresis. Numbness, speech disorders, neuralgia. Basic brain and spinal syndromes. Auxiliary examinations (EEG, EMG, cerebrospinal fluid). Stroke. Multiple sclerosis. Neuromuscular diseases. Epilepsy and seizure conditions.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with prevention, treatment and health and social problems of neurological patients and emphasize the peculiarities of care for these patients.
Students can evaluate clinical conditions in neurology, understands diagnostic procedures and tests; the standard treatment; he/ she can plan, implement and evaluate individual health and social care for neurological patients.
