Digestive disorders and surgery of gastrointestinal system. Acute abdomen. Diseases of the mammary gland. Lung diseases and organs within the mediastinum. Vascular diseases treated by surgery. Basics of traumatology.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the study is to acquaint students with selected surgical subspecialties.
The student knows the symptoms of abdominal emergencies, their diagnostics, and treatment, and knows the issue of preoperative preparation, postoperative monitoring, and postoperative complications.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Student performance assessment
Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures. Successful completion of a written test or an oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision.
