Surgical procedure, operation corridor, instrumental and material equipment. The nursing process in the care of patients with impaired consciousness. The nursing process in the care of patients after a vascular reconstructive surgery. The nursing process in the care of patients after a mastectomy.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with work in operating theatres and in surgical intensive care units, to know and apply specifics of the nursing process to the care of patients after surgical interventions.
The student knows the principle of central sterilization, spatial arrangements, aseptic service in operation theatres and fundamentals of instrumentation. He/she will be able to plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing process in the care of patients after surgical interventions and to use knowledge from interdisciplinary fields. |
