Course content
Primary care, home care. The nursing process in home care, care of the dying in home care. The most frequent diagnoses in home care. Wound management.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training
Learning outcomes
The course focusing on home care and gerontology aims to acquaint the student with a complex approach to patient care in home care.
The student becomes acquainted with community care and with options for collaboration with the social sphere in providing adequate nursing care to clients.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment, Didactic test

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Completion of compulsory 75% attendance at the lectures. Successful completion of a written test or an oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision. Completing assigned written work.
