Evidence-based nursing practice (EBP): introduction. Formulation of a clinical question. Finding the best available evidence. Clinical assessment of the evidence. Application of the evidence into the clinical practice and evaluation of a consequence. Sources of professional literature. Formulation of an answerable clinical question. Professional literature research - identification of the evidence. Quality of the evidence. Examples of the application of the evidence into the clinical practice and evaluation of consequences.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim is to provide basic information on the principles of evidence-based nursing practice.
Students are familiar with the basic sources of professional literature relevant to evidence-based nursing practice. They are able to formulate a basic clinical question, to identify for it the relevant evidence in the professional literature and to assess its quality. Students know the procedure for the application of found evidence into clinical practice and for the evaluation of consequences.
