Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Demonstration
Learning outcomes
The subject covers the field of physics for medical applications (biomechanics of breathing, heart activity, the effect of electrical current on the human organism, the principle of hearing and the properties of sound).
The student will understand the principle of the effects of mechanical forces, magnetic field and pressurisation on the organism. Next, they become familiar with sources of ionizing radiation important for biomedicine, the principles of damage to an organism by ionizing radiation, its treatment. He is familiar with the field of nuclear medicine on the physical side, as well as the types of radiodiagnostic equipment and radiotherapy equipment used in the current network of hospitals in the Czech Republic.
