Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire critical thinking on the basis of selected topics from the European philosophical tradition and to reflect on their own attitudes with a view to their application in practice. The aim of the ethics part is to lead students to recognize the ethical problems that practice poses, to be able to specify and formulate reasoned ways to solve them, and to be critically oriented in ethical codes and human rights documents.
Students understand what a philosophical worldview consists of and have an elementary overview of the basic stages of European philosophy in the context of cultural and historical development. They are able to characterise the main philosophical problems and concepts that are related to the human being and to socio-political issues.
