Philosophy of health, the historical point of view of prevention. The philosophy of primary health care. The health care system. The philosophy of community care. Community as a client. Community-based care in midwifery practice. Community-based family care. Community care of the kids. Community care for the woman. Community care for culturally distinct groups. Ethics and standards in community care in midwifery practice. The care of a midwife in community care of the pregnant woman. Preconception care. The proportion of midwives in prenatal care and diagnosis in each of the trimesters. Educational activities of midwives in prenatal care. Educational activities of a midwife in the postpartum period. The methodology of the course psycho prophylaxis preparation.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with basic concepts of primary and community care in the midwifery.
Students will understand the meaning and importance of the provision of primary and community care and will be able to apply theoretical knowledge in the implementation of care in midwifery practise at the community level.
