Course content
Significance of the terminology, pronunciation, accent. 1st declination, Latin and Greek substantives, prepositions. 2nd declination, Latin and Greek masculines and neuters. Latin adjectives of the 1st and the 2nd declinations. 3rd declination, substantives. Adjectives of the 3rd declination. 4th declination. 5th declination, overview of declension in all declinations. Degrees of comparison of adjectives. Degrees of comparison of adjectives: irregular forms. Collected information about Latin verbs. Latin cardinal and ordinal numerals. Derivation using prefixes and suffixes, combinations. Diagnoses in Latin.

Learning outcomes
The subject teaches students basic Latin, Greek-Latin and Greek terminology, it improves their certainty when learning professional subjects and helps them to understand Latin medical language.
Students gain basic orientation in professional terminology, they are able to understand and interpret diagnostic data. They are able to use the terminology creatively during work tasks.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Oral performance analysis, Didactic test, Discussion

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions. Passing continuous written tests and oral exam.
