Course content
Meaning of terminology, pronunciation, accent. First declension, Latin and Greek nouns, prepositions. Second declension, Latin and Greek masculine and neuter. Latin adjectives of the 1st and 2nd declension. Third declension, nouns. Adjectives of the third declension. Fourth declension. Fifth declension, overview of inflection of all declensions. Declension of adjectives. Irregular gradation of adjectives. A summary of Latin verbs. Latin basic and ordinal numerals. Derivation by prefixes and suffixes, compounding. Latin diagnoses.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basics of Latin, Greek and Greek terminology. It increases confidence in teaching professional subjects and aids understanding of professional medical Latin.
Students are familiar with professional terminology and are able to understand and interpret diagnostic data.
