Course content
Composition of the kidneys and the urinary pathways. Glands of the endocrine system. Configuration of the nervous system. Division of the nervous system - composition of the spine. Composition of the brain, cerebrospinal fluid circulation. Peripheral nervous system. Peripheral nervous system - cranial nerves. Configuration of the vegetative part of the nervous system. Bodily sensation structures. Composition of the eye and the ear. Main ascending and descending nerve pathways. The skin and skin adnexa. Becoming acquainted with the human skeleton. Identification of superficially located muscles. Test: skeletal and muscle systems - discussion of results. Heart composition on a model. Layout of the arterial and venous circulation. Layout of the lymphatic circulation. Test: heart and blood vessel issues - discussion of results. Becoming acquainted with the human brain. Layout of the course of peripheral and cranial nerves. Eye and ear model. Topographic configuration of the chest and abdominal cavities. Test: central and peripheral nervous system - discussion of results.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive overview of composition of individual subsystems of the human body, with an emphasis on structures affected by pathological processes the most frequently, and to provide knowledge that is needed for the studies of follow-up preclinical and clinical subjects.
The student will master the material contained in the syllabus.

Oral examination

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures, practicum sessions. Successful completion of an oral examination.
