|
Nursing as an independent discipline. Modern concepts of nursing. Professional education, nursing competencies, and professional organizations. Conceptual models and theories. Gordon's model. Nursing methodology - the nursing process. Implementing nursing care, nursing documentation. Professional standards of the nursing care process and outcome. Quality of care: Global direction and control.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to introduce learners to the theory of nursing, the safety and quality of nursing care, and the basics of multicultural nursing. Learners adopt nursing terminology, familiarize themselves with the origin and development of nursing, the characteristics of the field as a separate scientific discipline.
The learner knows the quality management strategies in health care systems, learns the quality of health care to monitor, continuously evaluate and continuously increase. The learner understands the basic concepts of multicultural nursing, gets information on selected ethnic, cultural and religious groups.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination
Fulfillment of the mandatory 80% participation in the exercises, active involvement of the student in the teaching. Elaboration of assigned work. Completion of the written exam.
