Course content

Radiopharmaceuticals - basic characteristics. Radiopharmaceuticals and their diagnostic use. Radiopharmaceuticals and their therapeutic use. The use of radioactively labelled substances in research and in other areas. Adverse effects of radiopharmaceuticals and options for therapeutic influence. The principles of good laboratory practice, Regulation No. 504/2000 Coll. Presentation of assigned topics, assignment.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with fundamentals of pharmacology of drugs and substances administered to patients in the radiology practice, their clinical applications, side effects and adverse effects, and with options for therapeutic influence of adverse effects. In addition, the subject includes information on options for the use of radioactively labelled substances in research and in other areas.
As part of the subject, students will be acquainted with the set of rules governing the system of work while conducting preclinical studies of drug safety - good laboratory practice. Students will master the material contained in the syllabus.
