Course content
Stress (stress theory, stressors, impact of stress on health). The role of heredity, environment and upbringing in the development of the psyche. Developmental theories (E. Erikson, S. Freud). Prenatal period. Neonatal period. Infant period. The toddler period. Preschool age and the period of younger school age. Periods of pre-adolescence and puberty. The period of adolescence. Adulthood - differences in the mental life of men and women. Old age period. Working with a group. Principles of teamwork. Creation and development of the team. Management of people - leadership, management. Working with a family in crisis. Interdisciplinary cooperation - nurse, doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, social worker, clergy, physiotherapist, community care, etc. Work with case studies and professional sources. Spirituality. Hope, meaning, gratitude, forgiveness. Basics of psychotherapeutic techniques.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information in the field of general, developmental and social psychology, to introduce them it is with the essence of the personality with an emphasis on the personality of the patient.
The student manages to explain the position of psychology as a science in the system of social sciences, can analyze psychological activities, processes and states and their disorders. By getting to know your personality, you will understand other people better. He understands the differences in the human psyche in individual developmental periods. Can use basic techniques for coping with stressful situations.
