Course content
Psychologický přístup ke klientům s handicapem. Relaxační techniky. Adolescence period. Adulthood period - differences between men´s and women´s mental life. Old age period. Family, family system, phases of family life cycle. Transgeneration transference, family resilience. Autoevaluation development, self-understanding Fear, anxiety. Empathy practice. Productive and non-productive approach to client. Psychological approach to handicapped clients. Techniques of relaxation.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Methods of individual activities, Skills training
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to pass the students the basic information from the field of general, evolutionary and social psychology, to inform them about the essence of a personality with an accent to the personality of a patient.
The student is able to explain the position of psychology as a science in the system of social sciences, he/she can analyse psychical activities, processes and states and their disorders. Through the recognition of his/her personality the student is able to understand more other people. He/she can recognize the differences of human psyche in every single period of life. He//she can use the basic techniques to manage stress situations.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

60% compulsory presence at lectures fulfilment. 80% compulsory active presence at seminars fulfilment. Written test or oral exam fulfilment according to course guarantor decision. Oral exam fulfilment.
