Psychological problems in patients with surgical, internal, and chronic conditions. Psychological problems in children patients. Psychological problems in patients with a disability. Psychological problems in cancer patients. Psychological issues of dying and death. Disease as a challenging life situation. Solution of extraordinary situations. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to give students basic information from the field of health and illness psychology and psychosomatic medicine, which are necessary for the profession of the paramedic.
The student understands the distinctiveness of the psyche during an illness, knows the effect of a health care institution on the patient as well as the health care workers and is able to eliminate its negative influence.

Oral examination
Fulfillment of compulsory 80% attendance in teaching. Completion of a written test. Oral exam.
