Course content
Introduction - basic terminology, types of education, andragogy, development of education in nursing and midwifery, assumptions, education, legal standards. The educational process. Assessment of educated person. Education plan. The implementation of education. Evaluation of education - types of evaluation, an educational record in practice. Experience with education - discussion: learning style, readiness to learn. Education in childhood, education of adults, education in the period of old age. The role of the family in education. Understanding to the educational materials. Education of dependent clients on addictive substances, a client with disabilities and other special needs. The objectives of education, educational plan, educational contracts and preparation for the education environment. The methods of education. Evaluation. Educational record in practice.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide growing information about the process of education and practical skills training for education by using the wide range of educational methods.
Students apply their knowledge and experience gained during lectures and exercises to practice. Students can obtain educational history. Students manages the development and use of education and educational programs for healthy, sick and handicapped people in all stages of development. Students manages the development of education and educational programs for nurses and midwives. Students successfully carried out the evaluation of the educational process. Students are able to look at education from a system perspective.

The fulfilment of compulsory 50% attendance at lectures. The fulfilment of compulsory 85 % active participation at seminars. Elaboration of assigned written work. Completion of a written test.
