Course content
Education, structure of the educational lesson. Primary, secondary, and tertiary educational lesson. The health care worker in the role of an educator. The method of the educational plan - aim, content, knowledge, tools. Organization of the educational lesson, educational program. Evaluation of education, criteria for evaluating the educator and the educant. Alternative teaching methods used in education. The EUR model - evocation, awareness of the importance, and reflection. Patient education program - a practical demonstration. Education in childhood. Education of adults. Education in old age. Education of handicapped people. Presentation of particular education by students.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Demonstration, Skills training, Stimulating activities (simulation, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide information about the process of education, the components of the educational lesson and the EUR model - evocation, awareness of the importance, and reflection.
The student applies the knowledge and experience gained in lectures and seminars into practice. The student can get educational history. The student manages the development and use of education and educational programs for healthy, sick and handicapped people in all stages of development. The student successfully evaluates the educational process.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

Completion of compulsory 60% attendance at the lectures. Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test.
