Course content
Pedagogy as a scientific discipline. Pedagogical principles. Educational reality: basic concepts and relations. Types of education. Educational process, learning. Subject of education, educator profession. Educational environment. Didactics in nursing. Traditional and activating teaching methods. Nurse in the role of educator. Model E.U.R. Alternative teaching methods used in education. Discussion to the profession of educator in health care. The basic assumptions of education. Didactics principles in nursing. The formation of educational plan. The organization of educational lesson. The evaluation of education. Criteria for the evaluation of educator and educated.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training
Learning outcomes
The aim is to acquaint students with the basic concepts and topics from the field of pedagogy and education. Student applies the knowledge and experience gained during the lectures and seminars into practice in the educational process.
Student is able to assemble an educational plan with the use of correct didactics fundamentals in nursing for the education of the healthy, the sick and the disabled in all developmental periods. Student can carry out the evaluation of the educational process. In the comprehensive planning of education student is versed in the model E.U.R. - evocation, realization of meaning and reflection.

The fulfillment of obligatory participation at seminars. Completion of written test or oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision.
