Course content
|
Becoming acquainted with the primary health care system in the area of gynaecology, obstetrics, and neonatology. Individual nursing care of the woman in gynaecology and obstetrics and of the newborn, using the nursing process. An application of nursing procedures and principles in the care of the ill woman and the newborn.

The aim of the individual internship is to gain practical experience from a realistic practice setting, which is important for professional development and understanding of the differences in meeting the needs of the gynaecologically ill women, women with a physiological, high-risk, and abnormal pregnancy, women in labour and delivery and women in the puerperium.
Students will attain deep practical and theoretical knowledge and skills necessary for the delivery of a complex nursing care in the area of gynaecology, obstetrics, and neonatology.

It is compulsory to complete 100% attendance in the internship. It is compulsory to complete the determined procedures and nursing processes. Completing assigned written work.
