Course content
Introduction into the educational-therapeutic methods and techniques. The classification of concepts, methods, techniques and resources available in the context of therapeutic-formative approaches. The importance of the use of the educational-therapeutic methods and techniques in the intervention of individuals with disabilities. The requirements for worker assisting profession distributing into practice the educational-therapeutic methods and techniques. The principles of application of therapeutic methods and techniques in the field of care for persons with disabilities, and handicaps. Therapeutic concepts, methods, and techniques usable by persons with physical and multiple disabilities. The application of therapeutic concepts, methods and techniques in the field of care for persons with mental disabilities. The usability of the therapeutic concepts, methods and techniques for individuals with sensory and multiple disabilities. Animotherapy - canistherapy, hippotherapy. Art therapy, drama therapy, theatre therapy, psychodrama, bibliotherapy, poetry therapy, music therapy. Psychotherapy, logotherapy. Canistherapy. Hippotherapy. Art therapy. Drama therapy, theatre therapy. Bibliotherapy, poetry therapy. Logotherapy. Dance therapy. Music therapy. Activity and play therapy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students theoretically and practically with selected educational-therapeutic methods and techniques.
Student demonstrates practical knowledge in the application of therapeutic-formative approaches to persons with specific needs, student is able to apply the acquired knowledge into practice of the medical social worker.

The fulfilment of compulsory attendance at lectures and seminars. Written test or oral exam fulfilment according to course guarantor decision.
