Course content
|
The use of alternative methods in obstetrics - introduction. Aromatherapy, phytotherapy, and massage in pregnancy and childbirth. Hydrotherapy and its importance in pregnancy and childbirth. Music therapy and relaxation techniques in pregnancy and childbirth. Acupressure and acupuncture in pregnancy and childbirth. The methodology and significance of active childbirth. Accompanying persons present at childbirth. The midwife's care of the woman during childbirth at home and during outpatient childbirth.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with alternative methods in obstetrics and their use in the midwife's routine practice.
The student can use theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the area of alternative methods used in midwifery.
