Course content
|
The instrumentation designed to open and laparoscopic operations - properties tool box, applied materials, the principles of manipulation with the instruments. Sewing and ligation material. Operating needles and implants. Protective clothing, operating masks and other surgical medical devices used in pre-operative care. Principles of instrumentation. Staff in the pre-operative process - passing the filter, hygienic security of the hands in pre-operative care, dressing of operating overalls and operating gloves. Universal instrumentation, basic instrumental equipment, suture material, surgical needles, implants, surgical masks systems, protective clothing and other MDS, materials and aids in the pre-operative process. Surgical instrumentation for the individual types of operations. The operation of the operating rooms, aseptic procedures. The work of the assistant and circulating nurse in the operating room. Principles of instrumentation. Practical demonstrations of gynecological operations. Practical examples of obstetrical operations.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is mastery of the techniques of instrumentation and related specialized nursing care in the operating room.
Student knows the principles of instrumentation and all the used materials in the course of operations. Student performs all the duties of the assistant and the circulating midwife in the operating room. Student knows and performs the basic instrumentation for all types of gynecological operations.

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the lectures. Completion of a written test or oral examination according to the course guarantor's decision.
