Course content
Midwives care in the form of process in midwifery for women in perioperative care. Using the NANDA domains in the diagnostic stage of the process in midwifery. The pain Management. Nutrition care for clients (nutritional screening). Education of clients in all stages of perioperative care. Organization and management in the workplace perioperative care. Care of medical devices at the workplace of the central sterilization and workplaces perioperative care. Performance of duties of circulating nurses in the operating room. Handling armamentarium and instrumenting with all the fundamental performances and practices in gynecology and obstetrics operating rooms. Professional practice takes place in the form of direct and indirect care of clients, in accordance with the valid legislation under the guidance of the year manager, vocational pedagogical worker of the faculty or expert practitioners in a given medical facility. Procedures performed on professional practice and all professional activity with professional experience united, are recorded in the "Notebook of performances and other professional activities in perioperative care" (see enclosure B), each student is responsible for its keeping. In addition to the performances the notebook contains summary information about the preparation and conduct of professional practice. There are listed the objectives of professional practice, rights and responsibilities of students, competencies of mentors, criteria for the evaluation of the students, records about the training of health and safety at work, fire protection, procedure in case of an accident, injury, overview of the attendance. There is a faculty nursing documentation available for the students and students work with this in professional practice. Everything is available on the student intranet.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills when working in conditions of clinical practice, to gain experience focusing on the organization and management of institutions providing perioperative care.
Student uses analysis, evaluation and synthesis in the solution of problematic situations during the treatment of clients in the perioperative care, he/she is involved in improving the quality of care midwives, handles the basic techniques of physical examination of the client, independently prepares and implements the education of clients, he/ she is able to plan the process in midwifery for clients in the perioperative period with regard to their cultural differences. Student is involved in collaboration within the healthcare team, working closely with family clients, respects and complies with applicable laws and standards. Student copes with the individual acts of all phases of the sterilization and care of medical devices used in perioperative care, he/ she knows and performs the job of circulating midwife in the operating room. Student is versed in the basic armamentarium for surgical procedures performed in gynecology and obstetrics, handles the basic assistance in these performances.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student portfolio analysis

The fulfillment of compulsory participation at seminars. Credit is given on the basis of the confirmation of the number of worked hours, completed the mandatory performance and a written evaluation of the student prepared by an expert from practice or pedagogical worker of the faculty responsible for the leadership of the practice. Student submits a written evaluation of his/ her own professional practice.
