Course content
1. Public sector and its role in national economy from the point of historical context 2. Governmental failure, market failure 3. The size of public sector, its structure and behaviour 4. The theory of public choice 5. Public control 6. Financing of public sector and its influence on macroeconomic management

Learning outcomes
The course Public Economics III is devoted to expanding questions of public economy. Special consideration is given to effectivity of a public sector. Troublesome questions of governmental failure, public election or public control are discussed. Besides that controlling issues, assessment and financing of public projects or partnership projects of public and private sectors.
Students will be able to solve partial problems of public economics, they will understand causes and effects of particular public economic processes and know how to select and apply adequate methods when solving selected problems of public economics and economy. Students will be able to defend these methods in the discussion.
