Course content
Basic features of public administration reforms implementation in European Union member states since the last third of the 20th century cause Contemporary democratization, decentralization , deconcentration and the principle of subsidiarity essence and these principles implementation in individual EU states as well as in common European Union institutions Role of European Union institutions Ways of public administration execution in the Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and several other European states Management and marketing approaches application in the contemporary European public administration

Learning outcomes
The subject is oriented towards the complex information concerning both the contemporary public administration theory and its practical implementation in the supranational level ( in the Euroepan Union institutions ) and in the level of the state administration and the local government of individual European countries providing. The main attention is concentrated to the explanation of the following range of problems: - the influence of public administration reforms implemented during the last third of the twentieth century on the contemporary public administration execution, - the application of selected management and marketing approaches and skills in the contemporary stage of European public administration development, - characteristic features of public administration execution in the most significant European states , - the public administration execution in the European Union institutions.

The student will master the key knowledge concerning the contemporary problems of public administration theory and their practical solution. The course will be finished by every student essay working out confirming the necessary level of his or her theoretical problems understanding.
