Course content
The introduction to academic writing. The ethics of social research. Selecting a research topic, formulation a research problem. Theoretical frame of Master thesis. Design research in master thesis. The integration of socio-economic development and management theoretical systems into selected research concept. The projection of the analytical part of Master thesis. The modeling of empirical research. The projection of the constructive part of Master thesis. The projection of final chapters of Master thesis.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop the theoretical knowledge and practical skills, needed for the design of Master´s thesis in the field of regional development and governance. Students will be able apply and integrate knowledge and skills in a systematic and critical way to develop results that are original and innovative within a research.

Prerequisites
A student who successfully completed the subject is able to systematise existing knowledge on regional public policy and management, specifically to find and integrate new information, to identify and formulate a problem areas for Master's Thesis research. A student who successfully completed the subject can select and analyse theories grounding the research, research methodology issues, critically evaluate, link with analysis of the problem. A student who successfully completed the subject is able to critically analyse research conducted by other scientists, select and summarise the research results related with their analysed topic. A student who successfully completed the subject can identify the key dimensions of the Master's Thesis and relate them to the research planning and management activities, develop and justify the design of research. The student who successfully completed the course will present a research project, an overview of research papers in accordance with the requirements of a scientific text. A student who successfully completed the subject is able to reasonably discuss the chosen methodology for regional research in relation to their analysis of the problem, constructively evaluate the projects of partners.
