Content: What is stress, why stress happens (causes, symptoms, diagnosis). Stress in healthcare profession. How to manage stress. Burnout syndrome (causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, prevention). Relaxation technics. The contribution of heredity, environment and upbringing to the development of the psyche. Developmental theories (E. Erikson, S. Freud). Prenatal period. Newborn period. The period of the infant. The toddler period. Preschool age and the period of younger school age. The period of prepuberty and puberty. The period of adolescence. The period of adulthood - differences in the mental life of men and women. The period of old age. Mental hygiene. Relaxation technics.
