Course content
Content: The patient's personality, his life story, values, attitudes, concept of illness, coping with the disease. Pain from a psychological point of view, fear, anxiety and coping with them. Psychological care for the dying and their loved ones. Working with a life story. Establishing a relationship, empathy, partnership. Self-reflection, work on the development of soft skills. Basics of crisis intervention.

Aims and Competencies: The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge in the field of psychology of health, illness and psychosomatic medicine, which are necessary for the profession of general nursing. Assessment Methods: Oral assignement
Students will be able to answer questions about stress and burnout syndrome. Students will learn useful tips on how to deal with stress and how to use relaxation technics to relieve stress.
